Note: The term “PhotoRejuvenation” is often used interchangeably with PhotoFacials or IPL.
PhotoRejuvenation iscommonly used to treat aging and damaged skin on the face, neck, chest, arms and hands. However, they can be used to safely treat skin on any part of the body.
Why consider PhotoRejuvenation or a PhotoFacial?
Living at higher altitude increases sun-damage to the skin and accelerates the skin’s natural aging process. At A Perfect Touch Laser Spa, we work with clients to reduce the effects of age and an active, outdoor lifestyle. Photo-facials use a series of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatments to significantly reduce the appearance of irregular pigmentation including sun damage, freckles, age and sun spots, broken capillaries (especially common around the nose) and rosacea.
Photo-facials are also effective at improving the complexion of acne plagued skin and reducing the size of enlarged pores, thus improving skin tone and complexion. When combined with a personalized skin care regimen, maximum, long-term results can be achieved.
What to expect
We use the Palomar Starlux IPL system to penetrate the skin with light energy. Irregularly pigmented skin absorbs the light energy from the Starlux system, darkens slightly, then flakes off within a few weeks.
On average, patients receive three to five photofacial treatments, resulting in dramatically improved complexions. The procedure requires no “down time” and has a low risk of side effects.
